Looking at the Laowa 24mm relay lens

Recently, I've had the opportunity to try out the Laowa 24mm f/14 2x macro relay lens

Here, looking like some antiaircraft weapon pointed at a hapless spider in my conservatory

it's a fascinating lens, going from 2x macro to infinity

It even has built in LEDs at the end

The light is quite powerful and good enough for hand held macro.

The manual focus is smooth and very easy to use for stacking

A simple stack

From my own POV as an industrial photographer it's interesting to be able to get inside things

This strip of pins coming from a plating bath is not a pleasant place to put things - fortunately the lower section of the lens is waterproof

The pins coming out of a washing tank

A fascinating and challenging lens to use...

Anyway, if anyone is curious, I've lots more examples and tests at
