5d mark iv with 24-70 f2.8 MK I

Hello DPreview,

Wondering if someone can chime in. I currently own a 5d mark iv, 35mm f2 IS, and 70-200mm f2.8 IS II. Wanting to add a 24-70 for travel. Shooting style is documentary type, and a mix of everything from enviro portraits, events and sports.

I have been browsing for a 24-70 and here's my conclusion

Tamron, Sigma, Tokina - AF problems, sharpness issues, VC issue. Not really sure I'd want to go that road and take risks about adjusting it with AFMA and tap-in console etc.

Canon MK i got a good price for $850 CAD

Canon MK ii - a little out of budget, used pricing is roughly 1600-1800 CAD

Can you please tell me if there would be any problems having a 5d mk IV with the older 24-70 lens? Will it resolve just fine, AF speed consistency and sharpness?

Thanks for all your input
