2 Amazing C Mount Lenses for Eos M's 3x Crop Mode
6

I just want to say that the Eos M is the most fun and versatile camera that I have come across yet, especially at under €150. Due to its mirrorless design, I went a bit overboard buying lenses on Ebay, but on the plus side I discovered two lenses that really stand out!

First up, the Cosmicar 8-48mm F1.0. It seems too good to be true...and it sort of is. It's not exactly cheap, and on top of that you need to modify the mount so as to allow infinity focus...But once you get it fitting right, its fast, with some crazy bokeh. And pretty sharp once closed down a stop. Focus and zoom are buttery smooth, perfect for video work, and it's all metal too!

Now comes the most exciting one! This Tarcus 4.8mm lens is so much fun to use, remaining wide in the x3 crop mode, and is a proper fisheye in photo/super 35mm mode (see last image).

Focusing is non-existent due to the deep DOF, shake isn't that noticeable, and it works well in the dark - a perfect behind the scenes lens, matching perfectly with the small form factor of the Eos M!

For skating it works well too, with the character that the lens lend to the image being really reminiscent of the 90's camcorder look.

The Tarcus lens may be more worth using on an Eos M50 - the cropped 4k mode would give you great flexibility in post, using the full fisheye view of the lens with little to no aliasing artifacts - anyone tried this by chance?
