I’m finishing up 2 weeks of diving at Yap and Palau where i used the Meikon case with A7Rii. And yes, the 24-70 only fits at 24 mm, but I knew that going in from the statement at the Meikon site.

I wish they had a zoom gear for the 16-35 mm, or any other lens with the A7Rii case. But no matter, i’ll Make that mod after I get back, having already made the mods for vacuum testing port and external high capacity battery.

Otherwise, the Meikon case worked great.

I have that case and used it in Vanuatu recently. It worked with the Sony Zeiss 55 1.8. At first I thought that would be a limiting focal length but after using it I felt it was a better focal length for snorkelling and photography of coral.

I also have a Meikon housing for a Sony RX100 and that was very good as well. You can use the zoom, engage the video, everything. Very clever.

Greg.

I agree about the usefulness of longer focal lengths, but zoom would be handy for when the mantas sweep in overhead within several feet.

And I also had an RX100 on hand, but in a Fantasea case, which worked exceptionally well with zoom and video, as you mentioned; and it has fiberoptic TTL.   Yes, that's a great little system.
