IMHO you'll do (a lot) better than any of your above listed choices with a Canon SL2 kit.

SL2 Kit at Canon Refurb

Unfortunately the SL2 is not available at those prices in my country. I wish it were!

Thanks for the reply.

Well darn.

I wouldn't buy anything without a Dual Pixel sensor though. That M100 with the 15-45 that Mike' mentioned would be the next best bet then. The kit is $200 off at @mazon right now, and the size is right there with the G1X2...

Canon M100 Kit for $399 at @mazon

It's a little bit deeper than the G1X2, but the M100 Kit (450g) still weighs significantly less than the G1X2 (563g), for comparison. The M100 does have mostly touchscreen controls (I love the touchscreen on my M5), but be sure to try it out first.

Note. Be sure to check the 15-45 kit lens for decentering when you get it (there are some bad copies out there). Mine has a little of it at 15mm (on the left side) but I don't find it to be troublesome (to me)...

.

That Dual Pixel autofocus is fantastic though (I shot these all afternoon)...

AF is very fast, but does get sketchy at times in low light (at small apertures).

Good luck to you,
