The M100 is much better at focusing than the M10 and with the 15-45mm kit lens is about as small a package as you can get for APS-C cameras with a kit lens. The AF might not be quite fast enough for your needs though.

I have the SL2 and it will deliver the performance you need. As R2D2 stated, it gives you the best of DSLR and mirrorless performance in one camera body. The OVF allows for fast focusing and tracking subjects while the live view performance is up there with the latest M cameras. With the kit lens it is a fairly small package.
