You're right, Guzy. I'm just about ready to add that fitting (or one similar from UW-Technics) to the front of the case where the logo sits so I can retain both wired trigger and get fiberoptic TTL as sell.

Turtle shows a method of converting their TTL from fiberoptic to wired, and I could replace the nikonos type with one for TTL, but I don't have the pinouts for the Meikon strobe and am worried about blowing it out.

I'm curious to know how will you add the fitting there

Guzy,

I'll use the same technique as when I installed a vacuum valve, reported on this forum at:

https://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/61530571

The method is to (1) use a spot face tool in my mini-mill to make a flat area, (2) use fine sandpaper to take out any scratches, (3) drill and tap the metric thread into the case, and (4) screw the fitting with o-ring (or rubber washer) into it.   You could use a drill press instead of a mill, but the case needs to be clamped down well. It's essential to have a pilot in the spot face tool to prevent chatter.
