Why no 70-200 f/4?
1

So Nikon launched with a 24-70 f/4, and will be bringing to market a 14-30 f/4 as well. They will also be releasing an f/2.8 trinity (14-24, 24-70, 70-200).

When we look at the the 3 year roadmap, Nikon does not have a "prosumer" telephoto option listed, which seems odd. If you want more than 70mm of reach with a zoom lens, you need to either get the forthcoming 70-200 f/2.8 S (which given how much Nikon charges for the latest "E" version for DSLRs, I don't want to imagine what they'll charge for a mirrorless version), or you have to adapt a DSLR lens.

Has anybody else thought about this, and feel that we're missing a missing a more affordable telephoto option? Given how great the sensors are in the Z6 and Z7, I'd be more than happy to use an f/4 lens for the size and weight savings over an f/2.8 version.
