Memory Recall for RX10M4 and Aperture

Please help, since I am going crazy with this issue. I have seen some Sony cameras succefully memorize an aperture setting in their memory recall.  And I read somewhere in this forum that a person was able to store and recall an aperture setting in his RX10ii, but not his RX10iii.  I have an RX10iv, and I do not believe it is possible to save and recall a physical dial setting on any RX10 camera! Is this true?

And if so, how are other Sony cameras (like the A7, for example), able to record an Aperture setting? Do they use an electronic aperture that can override the manual f/stop on the physical dial?!?

Please explain... thanks in advance.
