The trouble with DPreviews image comparisons is of course that they are based off of Adobe's RAW converter, which is based on the same RAW engine used in Lightroom.

I find it funny that people still refer to these DPreview comparisons when discussing X-Trans vs. Bayer when all evidence points to Adobe being possibly the worst RAW converter available for Fuji X-trans. Using these comparisons you will achieve only one thing - prove that Adobe don't handle X-trans files very well

Using Capture One I have been impressed with how well my X-Pro2's X-Trans files compare to my Canon 5d cameras output. My 5DIV has an edge, but the difference between my older FF Canon 5DIII and the XPro2 is in the Xpro2's favour. As one would expect given price point and age.

To me, switching from Lightroom to Capture One was dictated as much by my general distaste for Adobe's raw engine not only with my Fuji cameras but also with my Canon cameras. The output from my Canon cameras have improved as well.
