RX10 IV - What continuous focus area works best for you?

There are several reasons I wanted the RX10 IV. One is getting shots of moving targets, whether it be birds or my dog.

I'm struggling right now with consistency.

My setting is:

Mode: Shutter priority

Shutter: 1/1000

Drive mode: Continuous

Tracking Sensitivity: Standard (should it be Sensitive?)

Exposure comp: 0

ISO: Auto

Metering: Multi

Focus area: ??

AF on: On

My aperture is f/4

I have tried Center, Flexible S-M- L, and Expand Flexible Spot

My test subject is my dog. She has enough contrast.

Rather that chasing my tail, I thought I would ask what works best for others.

Thanks...Alan
