OK, enable the screen as a touchpad which works and helps but it has its downside as well as its difficult to reach and shoot at the same time. Invariably I have to move the focus point and then rengage on the trigger. Hardly fluid. Also, there are the invariable hits with nose or cheek that move the focus point. Had a Gala event gig last week and that damn focus point kept going to the damn edge.

I have yet to see the arrows indicating another face available. And maybe this is wishful thinking but it seems if I swipe the touchpad toward another face, it seems to move to that face. Maybe its just the touchpad. Need to experiment more.

Generally the face recognition has been a big boon for event shooting though. I shot a cross country meet the other day and it worked great at locking focus on the runners as they came toward me. Groups were obviously a challenge but single runners followed like a dream. Got some damn sharp shots particularly when I upped the aperture for the last run by. https://www.sterlingsteves.com/p127352106

I set mine to use just the top right corner and set it to relative   That’s easier for me
