AF acquisition D500 vs D850

Help me understand.  If the subject is a distant BIF.  Would a D500 with the a 1.5 factor make the subject in the viewfinder appear larger so the AF sensors would be more accurate in acquiring a subject in focus.  VS a D850 the subject would be smaller so the AF sensor would have a harder time achieving focus.   Therefore the D500 hit rate would be higher than the D850 for successful AF images.
