Just taking a break from processing my images from Botswana in September when I came across this thread.

Granted the Okavango & Savute are extremely dry & dusty in September and were the dustiest I've ever encountered on game drives, but dust is a problem to some degree pretty much everywhere so I don't recommend taking the advice of those who poo-poo it. 2 bodies minimum, I'd say, with the 100-400 on one and choose the 12-40 or 40-150 based on what sort of undergrowth density you're likely to be encountering on the day's drive (ask your guide before setting out).

I'm delighted to say my E-M1iis didn't miss a beat during 9 days of game drives like this (taken just inside the Khwai-Moremi entrance gate): I have found no sensor dust on any of the images I've processed so far.
