Zeiss Batis 135mm F/2.8 or Sigma 135mm F/1.8 Art

Hello everyone,

Hope you are well.

Since Sony 135mm GM has not come out yet, and there is no good 105mm lens available for Sony E system (Sigma is exceptionally heavy), I was leaning towards the Sigma 135mm Art lens. This is a heavy lens too, but lighter than 105mm. Being e new Sony user, I am not yet familiar with all the available lenses yet, and recently found out that Zeiss has a lightweight 135mm for Sony, but only F/2.8.

I was wondering if someone here have some experience with the Zeiss and if it is worth the price for a F/2.8 lens? How is the rendering and sharpness? Subject isolation and focus fall-off etc. I might be able to make do with F/2.8, but I need a lens that renders great, not just clinically sharp.

Thank you very much everyone, I look forward to read all the experiences about this lens, and maybe compared to Sigma too.

Have a great day!
