IMHO, it's not even logical to think that Panasonic or Olympus would not continue to develop the M43 line. They have built their camera business on this format and the strength of the format is greater now than a decade ago. They have great consumer and pro lens, the small size is and will continue to be appealing to consumers.

I switched from full frame to M43, as a lot of people have. Full frame is great for certain things, but M43 has a great Balance of size, weight, cost and great image quality.

Full frame benefits those who Need to PRINT low light images at high ISO settings of 3200 ISO or higher. Because in the real world a Pany G9 with a PL lens most people would Never be able to see a Quality difference in prints from 36 inches and smaller if shot at ISO 800 or lower. So most people won't Need the cost and weight of FF, and Panasonic understands that.

Buy the G9, I have one it's a great camera. Enjoy the photos from it.
