EM5 Mk II v EM1 Mk I as backup camera

Some time ago I switched from Nikon APS-C (D7200) to m43 and bought an Olympus EM1 Mk II, which I really couldn’t be happier with. In a few weeks I’m embarking on a long photographic trip to Egypt, and want to take a backup body with me “just in case”. I’ve been speaking to my local photographic dealer, and I could trade in my Nikon kit and get either a second-hand EM5 Mk II body or a second-hand EM1 Mk I body and end up with a nice chunk of cash in hand with either. I’m drawn towards the EM5 as the more modern camera, but I must confess that I don’t know very much about the EM1 Mk I at all.

Does anyone have any views on which would be the better choice?

Thanks,

Chris
