I don't think that you have had any reply so far from someone who has actually been to Tanzania, most have been to South Africa.
It is my understanding that safaris in Tanzania are very different to those in South Africa, especially safaris at South African private camps where the animals are extremely close and game drives take place at dawn and dusk. You may be shooting in full daylight only and at longer distances.
I therefore suggest that you get advice from somebody who has actually been to the locations that you are going to in Tanzania (you haven't told us what they are). Try posting on the Nature and Wildlife Photography forum where there are a couple of professional guides who may be able to give expert advice. You could also try the TripAdvisor forum for the area of Tanzania that you are going to. Your travel company, if it is a wildlife specialist, might be able to give you recommendations both on what lenses to take and where to get additional information.
Thank you very much Chris for your comment and suggestions. I posted on this particular forum because I figured that people could relate better to the actual lenses that I an talking about (sixe, weight, etc.)
I think that you need better information on whether you will be shooting in low light and how far away the animals will be.
i am not sure if it is relevant or it, but I will be going to Arusha Ntl Park, Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, Ndutu area and Mid area of Serengeti.
If you post on the Nature and Wildlife Photography forum be sure to use "Tanzania" in the title and quote those places in the text. I am pretty sure that you will get replies from people to have been to some or all of those locations.
I am not going to give you any advice on equipment because all my safari experience has been in South Africa and India and may not be applicable to Tanzania.
