D5500 vs D3400
As I've said in the previous thread I have the D40 at the moment and I’m looking to upgrade.
I’ve got two choices of secondhand cameras.
D3400 vs D5500
I’m inclined to go with a secondhand D5500 because I heard that it has better low light capability and a better AF system for video (as well as an external mike).
But I heard that the shutter is a bit noisy. This may be a big deal because its mainly going to be used to photograph dress rehearsals in the theatre and video live performances (obviously with the permission of the production).
1. Is the D5500 louder than the D40 If so, it is massively noisy?
2. Has anyone used the D5500 for photographing theatre?
3. Is it possible to take usable photos with the D5500 at ISO 3,200 and 6,400? (As a point of reference I have my D40 at 800 and occasionally 1,600)
4. Has anyone bought a secondhand camera from mpb.com?
