How about Tokina 11-16 f2.8? Pretty wide and 2.8 aparture should be fine too. And if you want good and cheap together in one lens then used one is probably your best option

The Rokinon 16mm f/2 is made for crop bodies. I've seen some nice Milky Way shots from people using it.

The Rokinon 14mm seems to be mentioned often on these forums:

After doing some research i found this brand. Rokinon/Samyang seems to have good reviews, but also several wide angle lenses. Which one would you choose and why?

  • Rokinon/Samyang 10 f/2.8
  • Rokinon/Samyang 14 f/2.8
  • Rokinon/Samyang 16 f/2
  • Canon 10-18
  • Other suggestion?

The faster the lens the better. Especially as the focal length increases.

Fortunately you won't need AF for this type of photography.

I keep hearing about Tokina, specially the 11-16 and the 11-20. Compared with the Rokinon 10 2.8, which one would you choose?
