Thanks to all respodents. This my question is about real experience with Panaleica 50-200.

I was trying to explain Oly 40-150/2,8 is short for me, incl 1,4x. 300/4 Pro is prime lens, I need flexibility of zoom, for birding. Panaleica 100-400 ??? I need not up 300 mm.

With the 1.4 teleconverter, the Olympus 40-150mm will have roughly the same maximum focal length as the 50-200mm 2.8-4. So why do you need the 50-200 other than having a more compact lens and the Leica style thin depth of field?

Your best option is the Panasonic 100-400 followed by either the 75-300 or the 100-300. Also if you're willing to spend big bucks, I would recommend you to wait for Olympus announcement for their new OMD camera because they might announce their pro long telephoto zoom as well.

I asked if here is some with real experience with 50-200. I do not plan sadari to Africa, this is not my target nor dream.....

In my opinion taking the 50-200 to South Africa is real experience.

Yes, you are right : Oly 40-150/2,8 Pro + 1,4x = 56 - 210/ f4, OK

BUT 50-200 + 1,4 = 70-280 mm.

Honestly, I asked about experience with 50-200, and got advice to buy 100-400, which in many other discusion is described as not too good.

My tatget is light equipment, I do not plan second body or new one which will be much better. I own E-M1 II and after last firmware it is wonderfull. Also I use Oly 75-300 which is excellent, small but very light. My target is submintt this last one with better one, if it exist, this is why ask for experience with 50-200, with 1,4x I will get 50-280 mm which is suitable for me.
