Although I own and use Olympus 40-150/2,8 PRO lens, there are situations this lens is short, otherway Olympus 300/4 PRO is prime and all the time I am missing something "between".....

Long awaited Panasonic 50-200 is on the market, also some reviews on the web, but hard to listen here about it. What is the reason ? Is the IQ poor for BIF, or is it too expensive ? There is advance in size and weight and mostly also in excellent converters 1,4 and 2x by Panasonic.

I am looking for some solutions up 40-150 mm for birding (papuchalk, humingbirds) with better IQ, the discused next Oly 150-400 hard to think if it will be or not....

Is here in this forum some owner using this lens for birding or wildlife photography with good experience ? I have a chance purchase this lens for slightly better price 1.333 €.

I'm currently going through my South Africa's images and once done I will do a comparison thread between the 50-200 and the 100-400. So my question is what do you want to know?
