The statement is quite intuitive in it's relationship to the thread title!

I'm looking at how SQF http://www.bobatkins.com/photography/technical/mtf/sqf1.html might relate to the so-called micro-contrast. As part of that work, I've worked out that my SD1 Merrill Low-res looks theoretically twice as "good" (mo' contrasty) as a hi-res on my screen for a detail equivalent to 30 lp/mm at the sensor, both viewed at 100% zoom!

The work is still in progress ...
