Probably the same question for many of the Panasonic cameras.

Up till now I've just set my camera to UTC/GMT and corrected later. But I thought I try out the Clock Set, World Time/Travel Time and Date for an upcoming trip. I'm in Calif (-8) and going to +3. I set these up on the camera and everything looks OK in the camera. But when I import to macOS Photos the time are at the destination (which won't happen for several days). I checked the EXIF info and it appears all dates are the destination

DestinationModify Date : 2018:11:06 04:43:22

Date/Time Original : 2018:11:06 04:43:22

Create Date : 2018:11:06 04:43:22

This photo was taken at 5:43 pm Nov 5. Nov 5, 23:43 UTC

Has Panasonic just messed this up or am I missing something?

I am very stupid on the time zone and so upon the time stamp hard to judge.

However, might I ask had you set to use destination time instead of home time? Just set the destination time zone without apply it, the time stamp will remain home time.

I have to merge photos from various cameras and purely relying on the time stamp of the photos. I have no problem from GX7.

Since the departure date is set for Nvember 9th, of course the camera won't do anything on November 6th.

What I would do is set the departure date for November 7th, and the travel time zone for your expected destination. When you wake up, set the Mac for the time zone of your destination.

Now take a few shots, upload them to the Mac - this is what happens to uploads during your trip.

Now reset the timezone on your Mac and reboot; reset the travel date and select the home timezone on the camera, powercycle the camera.

Upload the same images to a different folder on the Mac - this is what happens to uploads after your trip.
