Hi Guys,

I just ordered a Lumix G7 with 14-42mm kit lens. Im awaiting delivery. But meanwhile i would like to know if i can use my canon EFS lenses with this camera using...

Speedbooster (electronic) ?

Viltrox adapter (electronic but little cheaper) ?

Manual ring ?

Manual ring with only aperture blades ?

These are the 4 options i keep seeing on youtube etc.

I mainly have a Sigma 10-20mm canon EFS mount and was wondering if i can use that on the G7. I just want to get a little more wider than the 14mm on the kit lens.

Can any of you help and advise ?

Not sure about the others, but EF-S lenses will not work with the Viltrox EF-M2 adapter (the focal reducer) without a physical modification at the lens mount end (trimming the lip that protects the lens element) that cannot be undone. You can find the details of what to do and how on YouTube. Only do it if you have no intention of selling the lens on, and even then some would regard it as a dodgy thing to do - forget any warranty cover for a start.
