Focus light on 6D MkII

Hello,

Just came back from a trip with a new 6D MkII.

I am used to 6D and red focus light always confirming focus with a red blink.

It does not do it on 6DMkII in good lighting conditions. CF II/15 is set to enable but does not change a thing. There is a beep but no flashing red, centre point focus in my case.

I took it to Canon, they tested and said that it was  normal. I took it to a camera store to compare with another 6d MkII and the other 6D MkII also did not light up, which would mean all is good with mine.

I am so used to a blinking red confirming focus. Did nobody else had that problem going from 6D to 6DMKII, with missing red blink? To me it is a re-learning process, I am so used to it.

But, I am surprised it has not been a problem for anyone else.

Canon EOS 6D
