Canon Picture Styles

Since buying the x100F I can see why Fuji shooters love their film simulations. Some of them are really nice and just shooting in stylish jpegs can save a lot time processing in Lightroom. I find myself not processing much at all and have recently switched from shooting in fine+RAW to just fine jpg.

In my Canon DSLRs I normally shoot Landscape or Portrait, sometimes Faithful with fine jpeg +RAW. But really they’re missing a trick here for people who want to try and get everything right in camera. I see there’s a few extra styles you can download like Autumn Hues, but nothing like Fuji. Kevin Mullins has got quite a bit of attention shooting weddings in ACROS style.

If this is popular and possibly partly responsible for the migration to Fuji, you’d think this was easy to fix with a raft of downloadable Picture Style film simulations. Or am I missing something?
