Re: G7 X III (and maybe G9 X III) arriving in early 2019 (RUMOR)

It's too bad they wouldn't do that to the G5X, sigh. But then again, that would make the camera more desirable than the G1X III for many of us.
Interesting too, if reviewers find out the new I presume Canon designed sensor is outperformed image wise by the G7X II Sony designed sensor.

If a G5x mkii ever did get released, I'd like to see some changes:
Autoswitching between macro and regular distances for AF. Seen this is various Canon cameras. Just seems like an unnecessary step that doesn't appear in other brands.
More robust AF in strongly lit and low light situations -perhaps employing side helper points to aid in focus grabbing. Better CAF
Faster refresh on the EVF. Larger EVF.
Replace exposure comp dial with multipurpose dial (needs to be more free spinning then) to replace aperture ring.
lost Highlight/Shadow indication on screen. I have this in my Olympus cameras and find it better than the histogram for keeping what I want in the photo.
faster burst in RAW and buffer.
4k video even if it is short bursts.
Some aesthetically pleasing filters that are one touch HDR, out of the smartphone look. In camera RAW processor.Perhaps some fancy computational bokeh and digital zooming.
Manual zoom and manual focus ring instead of aperture ring/assignable ring
Although more focal length is nice and I would like it sharper, I don't have interest in the slower lenses of the RX100 VI and TZ200. I would rather a growth in size be done to accommodate a faster aperture lens. 24-100 F1.4 -2.5.
