I learnt from reviews (dpr and youtube) that the C-AF system on the X-T100 wasn't very good so I also looked around the used market and found a Fuji X-E2 with the XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 lens and a Fuji X-T10 with the XF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 lens.

You won't get good AF-C out of any of those. Also, AF-C is usually used with burst shooting, and you won't get good burst shooting out of any of those -- the buffers are tiny.

Which isn't to say you can't do burst shooting or use AF-C. The cameras will do what they can, but compared with other cameras, they come up short.

Being someone who is just entering the realm of photography, I'd appreciate a more educated opinion on such.

You didn't say if you were interested in video. If so, you'll want to go with the X-T100 from that bunch. The X-Trans II models, including the X-T10 and X-E2, were notorious for their noticeably substandard video. None of them really do 4K video.

The X-T100 and the 15-45 lens are oddballs in the Fuji X line (at least, at the moment). They operate differently with some different controls. That may or may not bother you.

The X-E2's screen is fixed. The X-T10 has a tilty screen (up and down). The X-T100 has a 2-way tilting touch screen that can flip all the way forward. That may or may not matter to you.

If photographing moving subjects (burst, AF-C, and/or video), there's an awful lot to be said for holding out to buy a used X-T20.
