Epson v550 scanner vs the v600 (for Win 10, inside PS CS 5)

When I do lith prints in my home darkroom, I want to scan those prints (inside PhotoShop CS 5), so I can print out additional copies.  Since lith prints need to spend 25+ minutes in the developer, using a scanner is a huge time-saver!!!

I had been doing this with my Epson v500 scanner on my old Windows Vista computer.  Worked great.  But now that I have updated to a Windows 10 computer, the scanner no longer works inside PhotoShop 64 bit, and when inside PS 32 bit (also CS 5), it does work, but almost all of the adjustment options have disappeared . . . the v500 just doesn't play nicely with Windows 10.

So, I will scrap the v500 and buy a newer scanner.  According to Epson Support, both the 550 and the 600 will be fully functional with Windows 10 and will work perfectly well inside PhotoShop CS 5.  But there were a few, ahem, language issues or communication issues when I was chatting with tech support, and I am not 100% convinced that I got the correct info.

Anyone using either the 550 or the 600 inside an older standalone version of PhotoShop?  Using either on Windows 10??

The price seems to be identical for both of these models.  Any reason at all not to get the newer (ie, the v600) model?
