Has anyone used m42 mount lenses on the EOS R
4

I'm trying to find out if anyone has used an m42 mount lens on the EOS R, using the EF to R mount adapter that you can get with the camera.

I was trying to use a chipped m42 to EF adapter, which works on my canon T6S with no issues, and lets the camera know that there is a lens on it. When I try to use this with the EOS R the camera turns off and on and can not be used...

I have been able to use my old m42 lenses with an adapter with no chip, but some of the manual focusing systems don't work because the camera doesn't think there is a lens on it.

this is one image I got with my Takumar 135mm and the EOS R focus peaking does work with the unchipped adapter
