I increased the saturation beyond what I normally use on this image, The fact of the matter is, that with the late afternoon sun lighting up these trees with red, orange, and yellow leaves, they were like pillars of flame against the green foliage. This is what they looked like to me in the sunlight.

This is a half-size image of a 2-shot pano, hand-held (10 MB). I have been experimenting with the deconvolution tool available in Rawtherapee, trying a very gentle application that gives some sharpening without halos. The full-rez version (33 MB) looks very good as well.

There was lots of color everywhere, but most of the access was on private roads, and I didn't go there. This was a K-70 with the Sigma 17-70 mm (C) lens.
