I have the Rebel SL1 currently with hopes to upgrade soon.

Currently the lens that I own are the Canon EF 50mm 1.8 II, EF 75-300mm 4-5.6 III, EF 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5, and EF-S 18-55mm 3.5-5.6. Typically, I've taken portraits on the EF-S lens, but love the 50mm as well.

I'm curious on your favorite portrait lenses/the ones you would love to have and think are the best.

Thanks in advance!

What type of portraits are we talking about?

Environmental? Glamour? Traditional?

Family snapshots? People on here call them portraits

For me, it really depends on the situation at hand. When doing glamour and traditional portraiture I prefer to use the 50 1.8 STM and the Tamron 85 1.8 VC.

Environmental I absolutely love using the 24 2.8 and the 35 f2. Although I'm really tempted to get the Sigma 18-35 1.8 so I don't have to carry around 2/3 lenses in my bag!

Hope this is helpful
