Is clean HDMI out actually working?

The clean HDMI out mode appears to be either a joke or it is not working.

Firstly, it maxes out at 1080p60, you don't get UHD output.

Secondly, you have to be in movie manual mode, and in manual focus mode, or it does not work.

Thirdly, you can't adjust shutter speed when the recorder is attached (why the hell not?)

Fourthly, you cant easily adjust ISO. The Fn button does not work in movie manual mode, and you cant set the control ring to bring it up either as defaults to focus in MF mode (which you have to be in). Why is the Fn button disabled in movie manual mode when it works in all other modes?

Fifthly, display information appears on your recorder. You have to switch it off on the camera, which means it is not clean HDMI (although necessary since the camera LCD turns off). This is not how clean HDMI is supposed to work, certainly that is not how it works on any other camera I have that supports it.

I am not sure it really is proper HDMI either, the image shows jaggies when played back, which you should not be seeing, suggesting that it is a lower resolution upscaled to 1080p. It sure as hell looks like it is just the LCD screen display being outputted through the HDMI port, which kind of defeats the purpose of having an external recorder. You are probably better off just recording internally as 4K, you will get a much better IQ.
