Fuji instead of Sony?

Your existing Nikon setup?

You have a few of the best Nikon lenses and cameras. As per your profile among your equipment: D5 ($6.5k), D850 ($3.3k), 24-70 f/2.8 ($1800), 17-35 f/2.8 ($1900), 70-200 f/2.8 ($1900), 24 f/1.4 ($2k), 35 f/1.4 ($1700), 400mm f/2.8 (used to be $8.5k), 300mm f/2.8 ($6k). So around $30k worth equipment that you must have bought over a period of time.

Are you planning to:

1) Sell everything and switch? If yes - what is the reason? Lighter weight? Also are you planning to replicate your Nikon system?

2) Add to the excellent Nikon system you already have.

For the first alternative:

You are going to take a significant financial hit to switch - but I assume you are OK with that. If that is the case your best bets among your two choices may be a Sony full frame system as Fuji does not have a 400mm f/2.8 or a D5 like camera or the Nikon D850 level image quality. Other option is to add a Nikon Z6 or a Z7 and possibly sell the D850. Or get a couple of lighter lenses for your D850 - I hear good things about the new Tamron 17-35mm f/2.8-4 which is fairly light as well as the new Nikon AF-P 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E VR.

For the second alternative:

A Fuji (or rather APS-C) based system or a m4/3 system may complement your existing setup better - as you already have the high end covered and may want a lighter system for some of the times.

In any case, since you have so extensive system and $30k invested - think really hard what you want to do. It's unlikely most of us (and most of us with far lesser investments) would be able to give you really appropriate advice.

Apologies in advance if my post came across as presumptuous.
