Is there anyone who uses a camera flash who also has/had cataracts?

Wondering because of this: "In 1862 Bunsen and Roscoe formulated the second law of photochemistry, also known as the reciprocity law, which states that the magnitude of time and irradiance are reciprocal for induction of a photochemical effect."

I've had cataracts replaced. I've used camera flash occasionally. I doubt there was a relationship.

Wouldn't a flash be more of a risk to the subject than the photographer?
