5d IV: Some photos suddenly corrupted (black)

Hi, I've got my 5d Mk IV since it was released and never faced this issue before:

I was on a longer trip and when I cam home and wanted to copy the images to my computer, I found out that all the photos of two days and some few other ones are suddenly completely black. They were certainly fine when I shoot them as I usually have a look at them on the camera after they are taken.

All the photos metadata like exposure or foca, length, ets. is still there, but the images are completely black.

Has anybody faced that problem as well?

I copied the photos over to Lightroom by connecting the camera to the computer and also inserted the CF card to a card reader: the same issue....

Could this just be a corrupted CF card or is it an issue with the camera? I did *not* have the most up to date firmware on the cam, but updated now. As expected, it did not help.
(think it was 1.0.3 before)

When I increase exposure to max in Lightroom, I get the following image:

Exposure to max in Lightroom

Any hint appreciated!

Thanks, Arjen
