M.Fn bar, my take.
15

I can't, for the sake of me, understand what most reviews are on about the M.Fn bar.

In my short stint with the EOS R one of the things I most appreciated was how the camera felt absolutely "operationally transparent" in spite of the fact that it was my very firs time operating it.

That "transparency" came from (1) excellent ergonomics of the body and (2) from the ability to select Tv or Av and them control aperture or shutter speed with one dial, Exposure Compensation on the lens ring and ISO in the M.Fn bar, with Auto ISO allocated to one end, ISO 800 (for flash) on the other end and the whole bar for ISO selection on-the-fly.

It was just brilliant, allowing for full precise control without ever taking the eye away of the EVF and I feel that reviewers are dismissing it all but too quickly, not quite paying attention to what it brought along.

I predict that, as time goes by, more and more users will declare themselves in love with the M.Fn on this dedicated forum.
