Downsizing 4K videos

My HDD space is consumed pretty much fastly, as 1m 46s video in 4K consumes 1.3GB. With ~96000kb/s bitrate:

Video: h264 (High) (avc1 / 0x31637661), yuv420p(tv, bt709), 3840x2160 [SAR 1:1 DAR 16:9], 94968 kb/s, 29.97 fps, 29.97 tbr, 90k tbn, 59.94 tbc (default)

With command:

ffmpeg -i P1030422.MP4 -c:v libx265 -x265-params "profile=main444:level=5.0:crf=30:vbv-bufsize=120000:vbv-maxrate=9000" -preset fast -c:a copy P1030422.small.MP4

I managed to get it to ~7700kb/s bitrate:

Video: hevc (Main) (hev1 / 0x31766568), yuv420p(tv, progressive), 3840x2160 [SAR 1:1 DAR 16:9], 7748 kb/s, 29.97 fps, 29.97 tbr, 30k tbn, 29.97 tbc (default)

Comparison of snapshots taken with VLC:

After downsizing / re-encoding

The image after downsizing has got some artefacts on son's face. However, these aren't easily seen while whole video is played, as son's moving on the video.

What's your experience with downsizing Panasonic's MP4(s)? And, any recommended settings?
