I purchased this before Labor Day, used, at a local shop and paid $600. It seemed like a great price, however the IQ isn't as sharp as the Canon 200 F2.8L. I tried it on both Cameras and on the Sony it seemed snappier than the 6D, however the focus was slightly off and when it did hit focus, the right side was sharper than the left.
I tested it in the shop, and on the back of the camera, I didn't notice any imperfections. Getting my camera back home though, I did notice the issues.
Seems reasonable to assume used or gray market equipment will need a trip to Canon figured in when considering a purchase.
Have to tried MFA adjustments? My modest collection got noticeably better after MFA with Fo-Cal.
