For the most part this report verified what we already knew - film has a lot more dynamic range than digital.  The Fuji Arcos simulation is contrasty - overly contrasty.  In really Fuji Arcos 100 is an extremely contrasty film.  I tired it once and didn't find it work the bother.

So I would not expect the digital simulation to be much better.  Also FP4 is not the greatest emission Ilford has produced.

But the conclusion is correct - film is not dead.
