Re: D1h uses older TTL protocol than current Nikons

Your issue with the Godox X1T-n on your old D1h is not a bug.

The D1 series and D100 are unique in that they are the only Nikon DSLR models to use the older Nikon D-TTL flash protocol. The current Nikon TTL flash protocol is "i-TTL" and that is what Godox reverse engineered for their X1 triggers.

Your success with YN 560-TX on the D1h is due to that flash gear being essentially "single-pin" manual flash gear which is brand agnostic. The Nikon/Canon distinction on the 560-TX for flash wake up upon half-press of the shutter button when the TX is used on its native brand but it will function as a trigger on any camera.

As others have said put the X1T into "single-pin" mode and you will have its manual flash capability.

Thank you all! I will try this tonight when I get home.

Hoping for some success!
