Escorted from train station for using camera
1

Happened this morning at Southend Central. Ticket clerks told me it was illegal to take images of public places and got the security guard on me? Firstly, it’s not, secondly, I thought National Rail is privately owned? In any case, it even says on their website that photography is welcomed as long as it’s not of security cameras.

Anyone know my rights on this? I made a complaint but am thinking of going back to set them straight.

I was using my tiny X100t.

There are no rules that constrain art. Shoot what you want, how you want and with whatever gear you want.
