First competitive EF-FX speedbooster spotted

After doing some research for the newly announced/leaked Viltrox EF-EF-M focal reducer, I noticed on Viltrox’s website they have listed this not-officially-released-or-announced EF-FX2 focal reducer:

The website isn’t in English but Google translate gives us this product description:

EF-FX2 adapter ring can transfer Canon EF series lens to Fuji X micro single body

product description
Only the EF-FX2 adapter ring can perfectly transfer the Canon EF series lens to the Fuji X micro single body. The focal length is in the originalMultiply by 0.71 (equivalent focal length = actual focal length × 0.71), the aperture is increased by 1 level, and 4 sets of 4 optical lenses are built in.EXIF signal transmission, auto focus, adjustable aperture and other functions can be realized at the same time of transfer, and the firmware can be upgraded through the USB interface.

* With auto focus function; * Reduce the imaging focal length. The actual focal length after using EF-E is 0.71 times of the original focal length. * The aperture can be accurately moved through the adapter ring to perform the corresponding action; * Galvanized alloy technology, stable and reliable; * The signal transmission adopts gold-plated PIN pin, which greatly improves its conduction performance; * The bottom of the adapter ring is equipped with a 1/4 screw port for easy mounting on a tripod or other mounting bracket;

If I’m not mistaken this is the only other EF-FX focal reducer with AF on the market other than the Kipon Baveyes which is $415(!!) and has less than stellar reviews, and the Fringer Pro is $350 and is only an AF adapter.

If this Viltrox is priced similar to their other speedboosters, it should retail for around $200 and It seems most other Viltrox AF focal reducers have pretty decent reviews.

What does everyone else think? Personally it looks like other major third party companies are really starting to take Fuji and the X mount as serious competition; which means that we could be seeing Metabones and even Sigma and Tamron stepping into the ring soon.

This plus the new video-centric features on the XT-3 makes it look like Fuji is going to be one of, if not THE, top dog in Mirrorless for video. All of those features + the full-frame look + EF compatibility and all for less than it would cost to do the same on the GH5 or the A7III.
