Unmovable mirror DSLR - still can't wrap my head around that one. Translation problem? For what it's worth, EFCS doesn't prevent shutter shock, but it does help.

My understanding is that EFCS can in practice fully eliminate the shutter shock. There is no difference is sharpness compared to the fully electronic shutter. If I remember correctly, several tests show this, but in case I am wrong, I will acknowledge it.

Some (most) cameras cannot utilize EFCS at high shutter speeds, although usually at those shutter speeds SS is not a problem. That being said, with very long telephoto lenses, it might be a problem. There is a difference between EFCS and EFCS.

Uh, like I said, it helps but doesn't eliminate. The EM1.1 is known to have SS, even with EFCS.  The EM1.2 (and EM5.2 which has a similar shutter) have no (or negligible) SS. It's not about first curtain but the overall design of the mechanical shutter. Note that SS is generally only noticeable in certain focal lengths and shutter speeds.  In the EM1.1, it's something like over 100mm and shutter speed in the 1/250th range.  Though all focal lengths can show SS to some degree.

Look up a series of posts from CrisPhoto - he has done some excellent work on measuring SS and what conditions lead to its occurrence.  One of his conclusions is that EFCS does help, especially at shorter FLs but it doesn't cure SS. Also, surprisingly, some lenses are more susceptible to SS than others and in non-obvious situations (like tripod mounted).  Another take-away I got from his studies is that every camera's shutter system is a little different, generalities are hard to make.
