Still looking for the ultimate camera bag

So I just bought a Tenba DNA 8 Messenger Special Edition for my camera, and I may be having some buyer's regret and was hoping for your thoughts.

My overall requirements

- Be as compact as possible so that it can fit in a roll aboard or backpack
- Have some level of rain protection

Here is what I need to store:

Main compartment:

- Sony A7 iii with attached Sony 35mm F2.8
- Godox TT350S flash

and sometimes a fuji install wide or square

Pockets

- Flashlight
- Batteries
- Memory Cards
- Lens Wipes
- SD card reader for my Mac
- small bits and pieces

Exterior

- Small water bottle or hydroflask

So...

To me, it's almost perfect but not quite...

- It's almost too big on the inside with just the above gear (one half is empty)- I'd love to slip in a fuji 300 install or install wide SOMETIMES but it's too small for that

- In all the videos and reviews it shows it with a biker strap to prevent it from falling forward. I didn't get one with mine

Is there a bag that's maybe a bit more sling that you'd recommend? Otherwise what's the size up from this (which DOES have a messenger strap) and will it fit in a backpack?

- I kinda wish the design was more like the Peak Design 5L sling when transitioning from say hiking with it on my back to front use.

Sony a7 III
