Native v.s. 3rd party AF

I was trying to find reason why 3rd party lenes tend to have slower AF in low light comparing to natvie?

But to be exact. I am Sony user and thinking about specific purchase - deciding between two lenses, both 35 mm both 2.8 - one native (SONY) and one 3rd party (Samyang/Rokinon), both on the native mount (no adapter).

I read some tests to get some general findings from other users and also from reviews

What is interesting. Almost in any tests it is stated that while in good lighting conditions both lenses focus quickly and almost with the same speed, in low light samyang focuses slower and sometines misses.

And here that is something which I do not understand. If in good light the speed is the same (for me it means that af motor is rather not a problem) why speed changes in low light?

The same aperture, the same body, the same settings and conditions....

Anybody knows how to explain that?
