Even with all the noise around FF, and that’s all it is, is noise, I for one have no intention of switching over.

I had been shooting Nikon DSLRs for about 15 years (D3100, D90, D300, D700) and love macro and motorsport.

Earlier this year after a brief stint with a Panasonic G7 and Canon 70D I purchased a Panasonic G80 kit at the Photography show.

With any system the key is to get used to the system and understand what is on offer, what are the pros and what are the cons and taking your time.

There are so many great things to say about the camera and system, but the one that dawned on me today is that I have 4 lenses.

The kit Panasonic 12-60 which in itself it one of the best kit lenses I have used.

I also have the Olympus 40-150R which is the cheapest of the bunch at £79 (£100 with hood). Equivalent of a 70-300.

The Olympus 75-300ii which on offer along with some discount vouchers set me back a staggering £240! Today in a test I shot this indoors at 1/25 @300mm and the result was more than acceptable. The FF equivalent is a Sigma 150-600 @ £790!

And lastly the Panasonic 30mm macro (didn’t like the Olympus 60mm)

In FF terms I am covered from 24-600mm +60mm macro. Add in the grip and extra battery, all for a whopping £1250.

I do not even want to think how I would achieve this in FF terms. A new medium level mirror less body alone would be £1200, add the sigma and we have already his £2k and lets not get started on weight. The 40-150 and 75-300 are tiny and super light compared to the competition.

Personally I think M4/3 is a great place to be right now!

Do you own any M43 gear? Nothing can substitute personal experience.

A slightly odd question, but as per my post you have quoted, yes.

I agree personal experience is very important.

Why question is odd?

Your avatar does not have any photos or gear to make any conclusion. One picture worth a million words.

Did you read his post at all? Because it seems you didn't.

Yes, I did. Also I checked up gallery, external links, and gear list to validate this post. I do this validation regardless of substance.

Not everyone bothers keeping a gear list and I typically add photos to threads direct from my PC or using flickr . For some reason I have trouble directly loading to the DPreview gallery . I think it may be to do with Adobe flash and my dislike of it

As for my gear list I keep getting banned { deservedly so I hasten to add } and I cannot always be bothered to update it. As a Nikon DSLR, Panasonic m43 and Sony FE user I have a lot of gear { too much my wife tells me }

I too, have problem uploading photos to dpr gallery whe use Chrome internet browser. As a way around I use FireFox, and/or Microsoft Edge browser.

It is mainly Firefox I use, though I also tried Edge , i do think that adobe flash is the issue. Though DPreview processing tends to lessen the quality of images { that is my excuse and I am sticking with it }

Hah, I have this stubborn problem with Chrome, FireFox tells me about outdated version of Adobe flash and allows me to upload, Edge works without hicaps.

Cheers
