Thanks for the tips Greg. Very good info.

Regarding the green bias, it's likely because of my color tweaks. I had set the WB to daylight in RT, and I found final stacked image to be a little too reddish, so in L*a*b* adjustments I lowered the center of the a* curve very slightly, but it is very sensitive. And probably I was victim of eye fatigue and found it okay.

I have to say that it was my first Milkyway shot, and I have only experienced astrophotography a couple times before. The night of this image, I had no actual plans but to go to a dark place and try to photograph some perseids but I was a bit late and missed the peak by a day or two. So I figured I'd try to photograph the Milkyway. I this part of the world, it's not easy to get very clean skies: in the caribbean we receive dust from the Sahara and even when the sky has no cloud, there is often some haze.

I received a Samyang 12mm f/2.0 recently, I hope to make more astrophotography images in the future.

Samyang 12mm is very good on the Fuji X. I have shot with that lens, nice and small too.

A little bit of blue fringing around brighter stars but easily corrected in lightroom.

Greg.
