Acadia NP with 6d Mark II
Acadia is a beautiful place, but not necessarily easy to photograph. It is a small island with very characteristic scenery, so it is hard to create an original composition beyond the iconic Acadia shot showcasing the ocean and mountains. This is a good reason why I don’t take my camera along for day hikes and appreciate the scenery at the moment. If I can reject the temptation of seafood in Bar Harbor after hiking, I go to my favorite spot, Little Hunter’s Beach, and experiment with long exposure photography with the hope of capturing something beyond the classic Acadia scene.
